Rooms have always been clean. Great selection of bars and restaurants on-site. Staff is helpful and friendly. One caveat, everything smells of wood-smoke. This is due to the wood-burning fires around the grounds. This makes a wonderful ambiance, but it's worth being aware that you'll smell like a campfire when you leave.

Our stay here was very comfortable as the staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in the King room with the bathroom. It was very nice to have the extra bed and blanket set up for the dogs. The room was beautiful and just enough room for the two of us. Bed could have been a little more comfortable. The soaking pool was nice, but it was packed full of splashing kids everywhere so we didn't stay in more than a couple minutes. The food at the restaurants was amazing - especially the smoked brisket hash we shared in the morning - portions were generous. The parking was a little tight, but we were directly to the backside parking lot which easily accessed the property as well. It was quite a drive for us to get a passport stamp, but worth it and happy we stayed.

This was my first time ever hearing about and going to this place. I loved that it's funky and inside an old Junior High. I also love the different bars and restaurants and now many firepits it has outdoors! I would definitely recommend going there at least once to experience the fun atmosphere of it. I gave it 4 stars since I didn't get to go to many of the bars. I'd definitely go again!

We went to the Shed at McMenamins Anderson School. A cozy little hobbit like establishment complete with fireplace, large timbers, and cozy little tables, four of them to be exact. If you like whiskey, it's the place to go. It is so small that if you want to snack, you order from menus of the other restaurants on site. We had the gumbo and Cajun tots. Both were good but a little heavy on the salt. The atmosphere is exceptional but the food is average at best. Finally, you better be willing to listen to the Grateful Dead for the duration of your visit, hence the nick name...The Dead Shed. I'd prefer a little more variety and may forgo the ambience next time to avoid an hour of Grateful Dead.

Starting group of 5. Then we asked them if we could upgrade to a table for 10. They were very accommodating. Then we had to upgrade yet again to a table for 14. They also were very accommodating and made room for us. They were an excellent place to have a large gathering. I would definitely come back again. The food, drinks, and ambiance are all phenomenal!
