Good food and comfortable movie seating.
I'm going to take a wild guess these fine gentlemen (and maybe a gentlelady or two?) are brave, heroic, and professional. However, being a neighbor down the road, it's hard to appreciate the sirens at 6:08am on a Saturday (today), or the other 4 dozen (or more) times in the 3 years we've lived here that they've turned on a siren early morning or middle of the night, when there isn't a soul on the road. I get it, IF it's evening commute time and they need to get people the F out of the way, sirens are absolutely necessary. But, it's not NECESSARY or courteous to turn on sirens and wake up 400+ people living within our large apartment complex (and all of the houses that surround us), when they can just flash their lights, and throw a quick honk in at the Beardslee Blvd/195th IF there happens to be a vehicle or pedestrian at these ungodly hours. I think it's insensitive and unneighborly to be "overkill" with the emergency noises, and I wish they would consider the very people who pay their salaries. Use better judgement when flicking on the loud noises, please. We have babies, animals, husbands and wives who need their sleep or don't NEED to be disturbed because of this apparent lack of empathy. If the shoe was on the other foot and it's a firefighter's day off when a medic truck races by their home, sirens blaring, and they just got their baby down to sleep, don't tell me they're not frustrated. Please think before you flip on the sirens!!!
